Nikola Geshev was the irreplaceable chief of police of the Kingdom of Bulgaria. For decades he lead the battle against anyone who threatened the country’s values, but most of all, against the communists. For some, Geshev was an evil genius, for others, he was just a talented policeman. Geshev disappeared without a trace on 9th September 1944. Some think he was killed at the border, others say he grew old someplace unknown. Geshev is among the most mysterious individuals in Bulgarian history. We will assemble the timeline of his life and try to glimpse inside his soul.
